Harianjogja.com, JOGJA—The result of the match between Kyrgyzstan and Oman with a score of 1-1 was a joy for the Indonesian national team. The match, which took place at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium on Thursday (25/1/2024) evening, resulted in both teams being eliminated in the 2023 Asian Cup. However, this result actually put Indonesia through to the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup.

In the second half Kyrgyzstan were more determined and thought they had restored parity when substitute Beknaz Almazbekov’s cross into the box was headed neatly into the net by striker Kojo, only to be ruled out by VAR.
Oman responded with Salaah Al Yahyaei running down the left wing before giving Ghassani a chance but defender Al Seeb was too slow to react, allowing Tamirlan Kozubaev to secure the ball. Oman increased the pressure through the efforts of Abdul Rahman Al Mushaifri and Arshad Al Alawi.

However, the Kyrgyz Republic actually managed to score a goal in the 80th minute, when Kojo took advantage of Khalid Al Braiki’s mistake to equalize. The score was tied at 1-1, this result both eliminated them in the 2023 Asian Cup and actually made the Indonesian National Team the winner to advance to the round of 16.
