Second league win! Bottom team Amstetten defeated Stripfing

Does SKU Amstetten still have a chance of staying in the ADMIRAL 2nd league? The bottom of the table won 2-0 against SV Stripfing in round 19.

After a good start for the hosts, Amstetten is finding its way into the game better and better. After around ten minutes, Bayern II loan player Fust narrowly misses the goal.

In the 22nd minute, Gattermayer had more success. The offensive player is the beneficiary of a header from a corner and puts his team 1-0 ahead.

Stripfing then took the initiative again, but no further goals were scored in the hard-fought game before the half-time whistle.

Amstetten follows up

After the restart, the guests caught Stripfing off on the wrong foot. After a quick attack over several stations, Monsberger gets the ball in the penalty area. The striker sinks the ball neatly into the goal and increases the score to 2-0 (51′).

Stripfing then makes more of the game again and of course wants the goal. The guests take the 2-0 lead over time and can celebrate their second league victory.

Despite the win, the SKU remains bottom of the table with ten points, as the first half of the season with the Dornbirn team with the same points was lost.

The negative series continues with the Stripfingers. After the 0:4 against Leoben and the 0:5 against Ried, the next defeat comes against Amstetten. In 13th place, Stripfing is now eleven points clear of a relegation zone. However, the second representatives of SK Sturm (14th) and Dornbirn (15th) have one less game.
