With a preliminary ceremony, starting at 5:30 pm in Brazil, in which the awards for the secondary categories were handed out, the Grammys kicked off their 2024 edition. See here the list of the main nominees and the winners (in bold).

This year, women stand out with several nominations, including newcomers and veterans ranging from urban music to arena pop. Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Billie Eilish dominated the main awards.

None of the Brazilians (Ivan Lins, Eliane Elias, Luciana Souza and Trio Corrente) who competed for the award for best Latin jazz album took the statuette – the winning album was “El Arte Del Bolero Vol. 2”, by Puerto Rican saxophonist Miguel Zenón with Venezuelan pianist Luis Perdomo.
