As many as 12 thousand people visited Serang Beach, Panggungrejo District, Blitar during the 2024 Eid holiday. Serang Beach is one of the favorite tourist destinations that is visited by many during long holidays.

Based on information from local village authorities, visitors to Serang Beach during the Eid holiday this time are predominantly from outside Blitar. Both from Malang, Mojokerto, and from a number of other areas.

“As of this afternoon, the number of visitors to Serang Beach reached around 12 thousand people,” explained the Head of Serang Village, Panggungrejo District, Handoko Prawiro. detikJatimMonday (14/4/2024).

According to Handoko, the number of visitors to Serang Beach increases during the Eid holiday. In fact, since the second day of Eid, visitors to Serang Beach have started to experience a significant increase compared to normal days.

“There have been a lot of visitors on H+2 of Eid, up to now there are around 12,085 visitors. On normal days, around 1,500 people to 3 thousand visitors,” he explained.

Meanwhile, according to Handoko, visitors to Serang Beach predominantly come from outside the city. Among them, visitors from Malang, Mojokerto, Surabaya, Jombang, Kediri and so on.

“There are also local visits, but more from outside the city. Such as Mojokerto, Malang and so on,” he added.

Handoko said that there were more visitors to Serang Beach during the Eid holiday than last year, even though the duration of the holiday was longer last year, reaching 10 days.

“More than the previous year in terms of the number of visitors, even though this year the holiday duration is only 5 days. What is clear is that tourist visits can be a blessing for local residents,” he concluded.
