“We paid for a 2+1 studio and got a double room. When the Serbs came to our aid and gave us a mattress to sleep on, the landlord decided to throw us out because he thinks we are destroying his property“, say the Đukići from Zemun, who are currently in Nei Pori on vacation in Greece, but not in the apartment they paid for.

They were kicked out of paid accommodationalthough in fact they did not get what they were looking for. Instead of a triple room, they got a double rooma the landlord threw them out on the street when they tried to overcome the problem by bringing an air mattress into the apartment.

“My family and I found ourselves in a very unpleasant situation. We settled down, but we did instead of a triple room (2+1), they got a double room in which we practically had nowhere to sleep. And everything would be more or less okay, we managed, the first night I slept on a beach mattress, and the next day we took an inflatable mattress from the neighbors from the floor above. We inflated it ourselves, in this way we thought we could somehow overcome the situation we found ourselves in,” Nikola Đukić from Zemun begins his story for Alo.

“We were ready to accept that solution, but the owner was very nervous and literally kicked us out of the room, claiming that in this way we damaged his property! We were forced to look for other accommodation and we found lodging in another place, in Not Poria, but all of that totally destroyed the concept of our vacation. The idea was to be near my sister’s and my brother’s family,” says Nikola, adding that they were exposed to inconveniences and harsh terminology from the owners of the accommodation.

“I would put all this aside, but I don’t know where I’ll sleep tomorrow, and my child suffers from celiac disease, a gluten disease, and this situation can endanger her health,” points out Nikola, adding that he is very revolted and believes that his case raises questions about what kind of agencies in Serbia they are, who works there, who approves their work and under what criteria. I can’t help but wonder if the agencies have their own representatives and if they solve these kinds of problems or not,” says Nikola, apologizing for being very angry about everything that is happening to them.

They paid through one agency and came to Platamon through another.

“We called the representatives of the agency, they told us that someone will contact you later, they will contact you tomorrow, the day after tomorrow… The agency’s reactions were late, when they came with the idea of bringing another bed to the room, which objectively cannot fit there, the owners were revolted by all that, it all fell on us, that is, on the child who is sick,” says Nikola, and points out that due to his daughter’s health condition, it is necessary for them to have a kitchen, because she cannot just eat food bought on the street , restaurant, store… They sent emails to the “Octopod” agency through which they paid for the accommodation, asking that the problem be solved and that they be allowed to get the room they paid for.

“That agency has its own sub-agent, but I guess that’s not important, we don’t need to take into account who signed a contract with whom, because we received on paper that we paid for a 2+1 room, but we found ourselves in a situation where we don’t have where should we sleep”, points out Nikola, with the hope that their vacation will end as nice as possible.
