Jana, the protagonist of the story, lost weight and disoriented, continues her life in her house in Bologna, dealing with the art of Vera Mayers. The contact with the woman in the mirror becomes deeper and more disturbing, as does her relationship with the enigmatic Wolf. There is a strong physical attraction between the two, but it is blood that governs eroticism in a crescendo of disturbing emotions. Meanwhile, around her, the house, the city, the streets, the underground take on increasingly darker contours…
The volume is enriched by an afterword with drawings and texts by the author.
