In ZAGOR. THE MARCH OF DESPERATION a caravan of rich and bored Europeans, led by the cynical “Memphis” Joe, has entered the territory of the Kiowa and massacres bison, endangering the survival of the tribes in the area. Winter Snake, the Kiowa sakem, attacks the whites and at that point the fate of the caravan seems sealed. Zagor tries everything and manages to break the encirclement with a stratagem. Thus begins a dramatic march for the surviving aristocrats to escape their pursuers during which they will discover, despite themselves, what it means to fight for survival in the land of the Frontier.
