That’s how the game went…
Great game seen at the Sánchez-Pizjuán. Atlético started off quite offensively, finding holes in the local defense. However, after a quarter of an hour, Isaac headed a goal from an extension by Ocampos.
Morata responded to the post, but the assistant raised the flag. Sevilla had the best minutes, with two clear chances. Again, with Isaac as the protagonist, and only the crossbar and Oblak prevented him from increasing his tally.
Lino for the visitors and Óliver for Sevilla had their chances but without success. Morata retired crying on the edge of the break with his knee sore.
Atlético de Madrid came back really well, with several clear chances including a save by Jesús Navas between the sticks. Even so, Ocampos scored the second but it was disallowed for offside.
Not so clear chances from minute 60 onwards but with continuous comings and goings that did not stop the pace of the game, with controversies, protests and a great game atmosphere. Atlético ended up without finding the success of the goal and Sevilla moves away from relegation
