SHEFFIELD/OSLO (Dagbladet): Martin Ødegaard opened what turned out to be a proper goal show. The Arsenal goals poured in and it was 5-0 to the visitors after quick goals from Jayden Bogle (own goal), Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Declan Rice before the break.

– I can never remember seeing such a big difference in quality in the opening minutes, said Viaplay expert Lars Tjærnås.

Ben White later made it 6-0 after a lovely Arsenal strike.

– One of the worst things I’ve seen, says Viaplay commentator Andreas Toft when the London team went on to make it 4-0.

Several Sheffield United supporters went home even before the break, Dagbladet’s reporter on the spot could observe. This is the third home game in a row Sheffield United have conceded five goals.

The shock statistic has never happened at England’s top level, according to commentator Toft.

Before the match, Ødegaard’s father, Hans Erik Ødegaard, was interviewed by Viaplay. There he praised his son, but at the same time issued a warning to the captain, who has played big for Arsenal this season.

What can he improve at? Asked Viaplay reporter Jan Åge Fjørtoft.

– That’s it. He cannot set any limit. Then he is finished in terms of development. He can get better at everything. In some games I think he could get too high too early in the field and lay too much on their defense. He has been much better at that. So maybe it has something to do with his role at Arsenal, that he is more often a little lower this year than last year, says father Ødegaard.
