Jumping: Lindvik number seven in Lake Placid – Kraft won again
Marius Lindvik ended a good jumping weekend as the best Norwegian with a 7th place in the big hill race in Lake Placid. World Cup leader Stefan Kraft won the competition.
Lindvik was in 6th place before the final round, but the 25-year-old fell behind Andreas Wellinger after a jump of 124 metres. The Norwegian was passed by several jumpers and eventually had to settle for 7th place. On Saturday, he came third in the individual competition.
Kraft took their eighth World Cup win of the season.
Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal delivered a very strong competition and in the end came ninth after two good jumps.
– He makes a good competition here. We see what lives in him, boasted Viaplay expert Anders Jacobsen.
Sindre Ulven Jørgensen and Benjamin Østvold were unable to make it to the final round.
