Somalia: the president suspends the prime minister, litigation by vote

Somalia President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed announced the suspension of Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, the day after the two squabbled over long-delayed elections in the troubled nation of the Horn of Africa. “The president has decided to suspend Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and to interrupt his powers because he was involved in a corruption case,” the president’s office explains in a statement, accusing the premier of interfering with an investigation into a case of land grabbing.
