– He is going to be the father of my children, was the first thought that struck me.

This is what presenter and journalist Cathrine Fossum (46) says in a longer interview with Camomile.

She is of course talking about her husband Anders Hovdan, with whom she now has two children, Magnus (12) and Maria (14), together.

But what perhaps not everyone knows is that Anders made an impression on Cathrine already at secondary school. He stepped over her, and she remembers him as a guy with a red headband, she tells the magazine.

Fossum has not responded to KK’s inquiries.

But many years would pass before anything happened between them. Cathrine was 28 when she met the boy with the headband again at a party.

– We celebrated New Year’s Eve together a short time later, and then I remember thinking: “No, now I just get to kiss him”. I was perhaps a little more forward. That’s probably how it still is, Cathrine admits to Kamille.

A few days later they were at the cinema and since then it has been them.

Ended

Cathrine is for many a familiar face from the TV screen.

But after nearly 20 years as a permanent presenter and news anchor on TV 2, the news came in December last year that she was to quit.

– I am incredibly happy with TV 2 as a workplace, but luckily I can still call it my workplace. Just a little in a different way. I am very much looking forward to developing myself further as a presenter, said Fossum to TV 2, that time.

Cathrine clarified that she did not quit TV 2, but joined the media house as a freelancer, and will, among other things, continue to work with the programme, Sommerhytta, but also some other projects.

– I am looking forward to this, and I am incredibly motivated for new tasks, explained Cathrine.
