Sri Lanka adrift, school closes due to lack of fuel

Sri Lanka, overwhelmed by an unprecedented crisis, has extended the closure of schools for a week because there is not enough fuel for teachers and parents to accompany children to classes, and the Minister of Energy has appealed to the expatriates of the country to send money home through banks to finance new oil purchases.
