Paolo Pininfarina was the long-time boss of the world-famous Italian car design company Pininfarina. He died on Tuesday.
Pininfarinawho was one of Italy’s most prominent entrepreneurs, succeeded his brother Andrea at the helm of the traditional company in 2008.
Pininfarina took over the design company founded in Turin in 1930 from his father Battista. The coachbuilding company is one of the most important international car designers. She has designed almost all Ferrari models since the 1950s and also worked for the manufacturers Maserati, Cadillac, Alfa Romeo, Ford, Volvo and Lancia.
The company is also successful in rail vehicle design. The Austrian automotive designer Felix Kilbertus has been Pininfarina’s Chief Creative Officer since April 2023.
