The Englishman Steve Harley has passed away. He was 73 years old, writes the BBC.
Harley was recently treated for cancer.
Harley was the frontman of the British rock band Cockney Rebel. Harley’s most famous song is perhaps the song “Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)”, which went all the way to the top of the charts in 1975.
Harley was surrounded by family when he died, according to the BBC.
– Whoever you know him as, his heart only consisted of basic things. Passion, kindness, generosity and much more in abundance, writes Harley’s daughter Greta in a statement.
