This is also confirmed by the German Weather Service (DWD). Large parts of the Calw and Freudenstadt districts in the northern Black Forest are at risk.
According to the DWD, up to 40 liters per square meter per hour and gusts of wind with speeds of up to 75 kilometers per hour can be expected in some places.
The warnings sound drastic: lightning strikes pose a danger to life and limb, and individual falling branches, flying objects and rapid flooding of streets, underpasses or cellars can also occur.
