The studio Melina Romano presents the Monolito collection, signed by architect and designer Melina Romano, during the Salone del Mobile Milano. In this authorial collection, the main focus is to visually provoke by questioning the relationship between shape, weight and balance.

Presented at the Piloto Milano exhibition, curated by creative director and journalist Ricardo Gaioso, the collection is displayed alongside pieces by professionals such as Patricia Anastassiadis, Ronald Sasson, Guilherme Wentz, Leonardo Lague and Paola Vilas.

Composed of three distinct pieces that mix wood, steel and marble, resulting in a unique aesthetic, the Monolito collection presents the Buffet, made from a large part of noble wood and a steel foot reproduced by a polished chrome metal sphere. The interior of the product is lacquered and covered entirely in blue. The Coffee Table, also composed of the same materials, is supported by a block of marble, resulting in a unique aesthetic. Finally, the Side Table has a wooden box balanced on a standing sphere.

Harmonized by natural materials, the products represent a combination of techniques that visually provoke the questioning of the relationship between shape, weight and balance. With the collection, the architect challenges reflections on essential design interactions at different scales.
