Stuttgart, the corpses of two Italian restaurateurs found in a cellar

Two Italian restaurateurs were found dead in the cellar of a restaurant in Stuttgart. The Stuttgarter Zeitung reports it. One of the men was a founder of the Valle restaurant, the other had managed the Perbacco on Tübinger Straße for several years, both in Stuttgart. These are Rosario Lamattina and Gianni Valle. Both 53 years old, the first was originally from Caggiano, in the province of Salerno, while the second was from Roccagorga, a small town in the province of Latina.

The two would have died of stab wounds. According to the newspaper, they are two famous protagonists of local Italian catering.

According to SWR, it is not excluded that the two, both 53 years old, may have reached a ferocious quarrel, ending up injuring themselves with knives or pieces of glass. However, the investigations are also open to other scenarios.

There are no indications that other people were involved in the killing of the two restaurateurs. The local police said so, stressing that the investigation continues across the board. “We have no evidence that other people may have participated, nor that there is any involvement of organized crime,” explained the spokesman, Stephan Widmann.

“The autopsy is still ongoing and is investigating in all directions,” he added. The two bodies were found in the basement of a building in Geschwister-Scholl Strasse, where the ‘Valle’ restaurant is located.

A 32-year-old woman was also found last Monday in a closed Mercedes garage, but according to the police “the cases are not connected.”

The German police do not provide the names of the victims, but do not deny that they are two 53-year-old Italians. The discovery, which took place on Monday at 3.50 pm, was possible thanks to a report.
