The fan attacks in Turkey are still causing a stir. Fenerbahçe is considering a violent move.
The Istanbul football club may want to leave the Süper Lig. At an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday, Fenerbahçe boss Ali Koç announced a general meeting of the club to vote on the matter.
What happened?
At a game in mid-March, fans of the traditional club Trabzonspor stormed the pitch after the 2-3 defeat against Fenerbahçe. Players and coaches from the opposing club were attacked.

The riots were not the only reason for the meeting, but also a number of other incidents from the league, said Koç. These included, among others:
- Attacks on the team bus
- Double standards in the Turkish Football Association.
Is Fenerbahçe really getting out?
Football experts assume that a vote would probably vote for the club to stay in the Süper Lig. Many assume that the discussion about leaving the league should also be understood as a warning that Fener doesn’t want to put up with everything.
