The mayor of La Paz Centro for the Gana get together, Armando Girón, was captured by the National Civil Police (PNC) in flagrante delicto this morning for ordering the burning of dozens of ramadas on the Costa del Sol seashore. The PNC said that Girón was arrested for the crime of environmental air pollution after ordering the burning of branches, gross sales stands, and their furnishings on the seashore.
Mayor Girón will likely be positioned on the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic for prosecution in accordance with the legislation. This incident stems from a dispute on May 10, when the mayor ordered distributors with champagne in entrance of the ISTU vacationer middle to depart inside 24 hours resulting from environmental injury brought on by their operations.
Despite authorized recommendation, the distributors remained on the web site, prompting Girón to order the burning of the ramadas, together with chairs and tables, to pressure them to vacate. The courtroom deemed these constructions to be in violation of environmental laws, comparable to degradation of coastal ecosystems and water air pollution. Girón defended his actions as compliance with the courtroom’s decision.
The affected distributors, who’ve been working within the space for over 20 years with permits from the earlier mayor and the ISTU, declare the municipality has not offered any relocation options.
