It is Central Jutland which informs about Olsson’s condition.

The club writes that Olsson is affected by what is probably an “acute illness related to the brain”. He lost consciousness at his home a week ago.

Olsson has had his family around him in addition to parts of the club’s medical team recently. In addition, a “team of Denmark’s leading medical experts” is working to make a diagnosis and initiate the correct treatment, the Danish club states.

Midtjylland writes that the information comes out because of the rumors about Olsson’s absence recently.

– Everyone in Midtjylland is of course deeply affected by Kristoffer’s sudden illness, and our thoughts and full support go to Kristoffer and his family, writes Midtjylland.

Former national team player Tarik Elyounoussi played with Olsson in Swedish AIK.

– It is a shock. It is very sad. I hope it goes well and send warm thoughts and strength to him and his family, says Elyounoussi to VG.

In 2018, the duo and AIK took league gold in the Allsvenskan.

– We played together on a team that won league gold, and that was very big for us at the time. We had a great time together. He is an amazingly nice guy. He is humble, down-to-earth and a good footballer, praises Elyounoussi.

Olsson’s Swedish teammate in Midtjylland, Joel Andersson, adds the following The evening paper:

– It is difficult now. He is a wonderful person.

The 28-year-old has played 47 A-national matches for Sweden since 2017 and last represented the Swedes in a European Championship qualifier against Estonia last November.

He was in the Arsenal academy as a youngster and got one game in the first team. Since then he has played in AIK, Krasnodar and Anderlecht.

– Midtjylland currently has no further statements, but we will inform the public when important, new information emerges, writes the club.

Olsson is a teammate of Norwegian Ola Brynhildsen at the Danish club. Iver Fossum also played with Olsson in Midtjylland from the summer of 2023, before the Norwegian was sold to Belgian KV Kortrijk on deadline day 1 February.
