According to the Xinhua News Agency, the Swedish parliament conducted a no-confidence vote on Prime Minister Levin on the 21st, and more than half of its members voted against Levin’s continued as prime minister. Levine became the first Swedish prime minister to be removed by a vote of no confidence during his term. Levin said at a subsequent online press conference that day that the government will have a week to decide how to deal with the recall crisis, and he will negotiate with other parties to achieve a smooth transition as soon as possible. Analysts believe that after Levin is removed, he will face two choices: dissolve the current government and nominate a new prime minister by the speaker; or announce that parliamentary elections will be held within three months.
