The TV producer who stated that actor Sydney Sweeney (26) is neither pretty nor talented will be shut down.

Carol Baum (81), producer of, among others, “Dead Ringers”, “Fly Away Home” and “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”, stated at a recent event that she does not “understand the hype around Sydney Sweeney”.
– There is an actor that everyone loves now. But I don’t get it. She’s not pretty and she can’t play. Explain it to me. Why is she so popular? said the Hollywood veteran during a panel debate earlier this week, according to Daily Mail.
– Sad
Sweeney, known from “Euphoria”, “The White Lotus”, “Anyone But You” and “Madame Web”, has not passed by.
– So sad that a woman in a position to share her expertise and experience, instead chooses to attack other women, says a spokesperson for Sweeney to AND! News.
– If this is what she has learned through all her decades in this industry, and which she sees fit to teach her students, then it is a shame, the spokesperson continues.
She is referring to the fact that Carol Baum teaches on a daily basis at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
Regrets
In particular, it must have been Sweeney’s efforts in last year’s film “Anyone But You”, which made Baum say what she said.

Baum speaks up TMZ on Wednesday evening that she has received “tons of e-mails” after she slapped her lip – and that she regrets it.

Producer Teddy Schwarzman (44), who has worked with Sweeney in the new “Immaculate”, is strongly indignant.
He signs X/Twitter that he will “inform Baum” that Sweeney has been nominated for two EMMY statuettes and is “one of the most talented actors he has worked with”.
«I don’t understand why someone who still calls himself a producer can make such nasty comments», he snarls and clarifies that “Sweeney is at least beautiful on the inside”.

Corrected: VG first reported that Schwarzman tweeted that Sweeney has won two Emmy statuettes, but that is wrong. The correct translation is of course two Emmy nominations. The error was corrected on 18 April at 19:52.
