The 59-year-old rocker who was once married to the legend Kurt Cobain has given an interview to the English newspaper The Standard in connection with the launch of the new radio show «Courtney Loves women».

– Taylor Swift is not important. It is possible that she is perfectly fine for little girls, it is also possible that she is our time’s answer to Madonna. But she is not interesting as an artist, says the outspoken old rocker.

She doesn’t have much left for Madonna either.

– I don’t like her and she doesn’t like me, says Courtney Love.

CNN has also mentioned this interview where Beyoncé also gets her passport signed.

– Admittedly, I like the idea of her releasing a country record that is about black women moving into areas that were previously only available to white women. I really like the concept, but I just don’t like her music.

At the same time, she is happy that there are now so many successful women in the music industry.

– But many of them become almost too cliché to count. Everyone has become exactly the same.

But if she doesn’t have a taste for today’s music stars, Courtney Love has great respect for veterans such as Patti Smith, Nina Simone, PJ Harvey, Debbie Harry, Julie London and Joni Mitchell.
