The back and forth between Codici and Rabona continues

The Codici association firmly rejects the accusations made by Rabona, complete with threats, regarding the latest interventions relating to the issue of the disservices which caused heavy inconvenience to many consumers a year ago.

“The reconstruction made by the company is once again incorrect and is also partial – declares Ivano Giacomelli, National Codes Secretary –, but moreover it follows the trend of communications issued at the time of the disruptions, when unfulfilled promises and reassurances were recorded on social media. Telephone disruptions are a fact, as are the difficulties complained by customers in receiving assistance from the company in that period. We have collected hundreds of reports and intervened several times, including with the authorities, certainly not to advertise or to denigrate Rabona. Our only interest has always been to protect consumers.

On our part there was a desire to end the matter in a good-natured manner to obtain compensation for our clients. Following the meeting mentioned by Rabona in his reply, the one on 20 June, an agreement was reached through informal communications, but the company never implemented it. Despite repeated reminders, Rabona did not follow up on that agreement, so much so that to this day we are still requesting reimbursement for our clients. The company talks about specious and unjustifiable accusations, threatens lawsuits, perhaps thinking of putting a gag on our association. It is a sad epilogue for a bad page in Rabona’s business, which may have made an effort to protect its customers, but evidently it was not enough. We feel sorry for Rabona, but the reply doesn’t scare us. We will continue to give consumers a voice and fight to protect their rights in the face of telephone disruptions, which we continue to discuss after a year.”
