“THE BIG BOOK ABOUT THE LEGENDS OF JAPAN” Creative Thinking edition

After “The Great Book on the Legends of Naples”, Gianmarco Bertone is once again in bookstores with his new volume for children and teenagers “The Big Book on the Legends of Japan” for Pensiero Creativo, a spin off of the Officina Milena publishing house.

The book, written and illustrated by Gianmarco Bertone, is available in all bookstores and digital stores from 18 March 2024 and online in pre-order on the publishing house website

The author, graphic designer and illustrator, who has always loved excursions and travel, accepted the challenge of narrating the legends of the legendary Rising Sun to very young readers.

A journey into the history, culture and art of a particular Far Eastern country that has always fascinated adults and children.

The focus of the book are the mythical and legendary animals that have dotted Japanese culture for millennia: the half-raccoon, half-dog Tanuki, the Maneki Neko cat, the Akabeko red ox are just some of the protagonists of the legends reported in the book.

An agile reading, the result of simple language suitable for children even for first time reading, despite the original Japanese names being reported. The last pages are fun with games, puzzles and oriental recipes to experiment independently with the family.

The illustrations in a super colorful contemporary style are also beautiful and perfectly represent the mythological animal told in the accompanying text.

All young readers, already passionate about Japanese culture but also and above all newbies, will certainly be passionate about the legends narrated.
