SANTIAGO DEL CHILE – In Santiago de Chile today we vote for the most important elections since the fall of the Pinochet regime. The sky is blue, the temperatures are high and the atmosphere seems calm. There is traffic, however, and it is difficult to find a taxi: citizens have already started going to the polling stations to vote. The Social Democrat is competing to be elected new president of the country Gabriel Boric and the ultra-right candidate Jose Antonio Kast.
