The Colombian U-17 Women’s National Team continues with good dynamics and a perfect score in the South American category, which takes place in Paraguay. The team led from the technical bench by Carlos Paniagua generated a new victory, this time it was by a score of 2-0 over Peru and with this result it put its name in the final stages of the contest.
The youth ‘tricolor’ of our country took control of the match from start to finish, against some ‘Incas’ who did not cause danger on the portico of Luisa Agudelo, who was just another spectator. The Peruvians’ script was to hold on and wait for a mistake on the Colombians’ backside.
Isabella Díaz, Maithe López and Mariana Silva were the soccer players who caused the most unbalance on the part of the ‘cafeteras’, they distributed the ball, they reached the edge of the area, but they were missing the final stitch.
Maithe López even had two clear opportunities, one in each half. The first occurred in the 37th minute and the ball ended up hitting the post, and the second, after an individual action, the number ‘9’ hit it with her right foot and saved the goalkeeper, Miranda, from the Peruvians.

But as the minutes passed, Paniagua’s team bet on patience and building and thus found a way to score. First after a penalty taken very well by Isabella Díaz, in the 71st minute, although the foul play was somewhat disputed.
