The Mandalorian star Gina Carano is suing Disney for discrimination and unfair dismissal

Gina Carano, the former MMA fighter turned actress, seemed to be doing pretty well for herself. She had big roles in The Mandalorian and the first Deadpool movie, but it all went down the drain when she voiced right-wing opinions on social media.

Carano tackled Black Lives Matter, pronouns, mandatory mask wearing in 2020 and more, finally claiming she was a victim in one of her latest tweets, which read as follows:

“Most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Naxi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them just because they were Jews. How is that different from hate someone for their political views?”

Now she is suing Disney for unfair dismissal and discrimination, and claims she was dehumanized and that her words were constantly distorted after she didn’t fit the vision Disney and Lucasfilm wanted her to have.

She claims similar views were ignored for her male co-stars and she was told she had to make a public apology in order to continue working. The lawsuit is going to be funded by Elon Musk, who has promised to support all lawsuits where freedom of expression is threatened. Joe Benarroch, head of X’s business operations, said in a statement:

“As a sign of X Corp’s commitment to free speech, we are proud to provide financial support to Gina Carano’s lawsuit, allowing her to seek redress for her free speech at X and the ability to work without bullying, harassment or discrimination.”

Do you think Carano is right?
