The MonsterVerse franchise continues with a new film called Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The film is a sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) is also the fifth release in the MonsterVerse saga.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is directed by Adam Wingard and stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Dan Stevens.

The following is a synopsis of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
The story opens with Godzilla and Kong’s lives changing after the events of Godzilla vs Kong (2021). Kong lives in Hollow Earth, aka the Earth’s Cavity, a remote place that is not easy to reach.
Kong becomes the leader and the most powerful creature in the area. However, he also felt lonely because there were no other Kingkong flocks living with him.
Meanwhile, Godzilla returns to live beneath the deep and mysterious ocean. It didn’t surface for a long time.
Until then, Jia (Kaylee Hottle), who is actually the last descendant of the Iwi tribe, suddenly felt a mysterious vibration.
The vibrations turned out to have a connection with Godzilla who reappeared on the surface. It rises from the ocean and causes various damage to the surrounding area.
Godzilla’s presence doesn’t just cause damage. It turns out he also absorbs a lot of nuclear energy which can destroy enemies easily.
This situation seems to be a signal that there will be a battle between Godzilla and a mysterious enemy.
At the same time, Kong finds a herd of his species in the deepest part of Hollow Earth. He also had hope of being able to reunite with other kingkongs.
However, Kong has to face the leader of the pack, Skar King. He finally came face to face with the creature.

The battle apparently also connected Kong, Skar King, and Godzilla. On the other hand, the history of the Iwi tribe and the secrets behind Hollow Earth are also revealed amidst the conflict between the giants.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is directed by Adam Wingard with a screenplay by Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett, and Jeremy Slater. Adam Wingard previously also directed Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).
Several actors who joined in Godzilla vs. Kong also returns to star in this film, as do Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kayle Hottle.
Apart from that, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire also stars Dan Stevens, Alex Ferns, Fala Chen, and Rachel House.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire opens in cinemas starting March 27, 2024.
