Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Thailand have a strong determination to continue their journey to the quarter-finals Asian Cup. To make this happen, they must conquer Uzbekistan at Al Janoub Stadium, Tuesday (30/1).
Thailand is a team that appeared quite impressive in the group phase. From the three matches played, Thailand was able to collect five points. The War Elephant Team never even picked up the ball from their goal throughout the group phase.
These provisions were then taken by Thailand to the round of 16. Thailand wants their journey in the Asian Cup to continue even though in terms of targets, they have been able to make it happen.

“As we succeeded in qualifying for the last 16 with five points, we have achieved our goal but now we want to continue fighting in this competition,” said Thailand coach, Masatada Ishii, quoted from AFC.
Ishii said that Uzbekistan, which has only conceded one goal, is a team that has a solid defense. Therefore, he has prepared his team to be able to respond to this situation.
“Uzbekistan has a defensive structure with many well-organized players. They like to play deep so we will try to face them with a plan to overcome this,” said Ishii.
Another thing that is good news for Thailand is the return of Theerathon Bunmanthan.
“Of course it is a plus to see him back in the squad, a player who is very experienced at international level,” said Ishii.
