In his show “Case number XY… unsolved” Rudi Cerne (65) looks for criminals once a month. He has been the presenter of the popular ZDF program since 2002. Almost 40 percent of the cases shown are solved after the broadcast. An incredible rate. What hardly anyone knows: Rudi Cerne was once believed to be a criminal himself. In December 1978 he was arrested at Düsseldorf Airport after being mistaken for the RAF terrorist Christian Klar.
Rudi Cerne and Christiane Gebauer married in Las Vegas
Rudi Cerne has been married to his wife Christiane Gebauer for 37 years. In 1987 the two went to the altar – but not in Hesse, where the couple lives. Instead, the young couple flew to Las Vegas and swore their eternal loyalty to each other. While marriages made in the gamer’s paradise are usually predicted to have a bad future, Rudi Cerne and his Christiane prove the opposite. To this day they are happy together and show in their rare joint appearances that they are a unit.
