In recent weeks, the UAE has faced an unprecedented wave of terrorist attacks launched by the militias Houthi directly against their territory and civil infrastructure. The Houthis, by taking over the Yemeni capital Sana’a in 2015, were instrumental in igniting an ongoing civil war against the legitimate government of Yemen and in causing the biggest humanitarian crisis in the worldas defined by the United Nations Population Fund in 2021.
