Actor Tony Ramos completes 60 years of career and received tributes on the program “Encontro com Patrícia Poeta”, on TV Globo, this Tuesday (23/4). One of the main attitudes of the attraction’s production was to ask for messages from professional colleagues. Among them, one of the highlights was the testimony of another artist, Lima Duarte, who also shares the love for São Paulo. Thus, in his speech, the friend made a point of remembering the Morumbi club when singing the anthem.

Ramos celebrated the gesture, thanked him and sent a message full of humor, confidence and optimism about Tricolor Paulista’s chances in the fight for titles.

“Nothing is ever lost. Let’s win something!”, said the actor positively.

Then, on the program, Tony even confessed that he didn’t expect to reach such a long milestone in his career. Furthermore, he always seeks to improve himself even with his situation already consolidated in the artistic world.

“You think, I want to be recognized for my work, to be able to produce, perhaps direct. Suddenly my career happens, a comet, right? A rocket. You don’t stop studying, I periodically do workshops, I’m always attentive. I like know, I see my colleagues”, he added.

Challenge of playing a rival from São Paulo

In his more than six decades as an actor, Ramos surpassed the mark of 140 roles. In fact, he has even played an arch-rival of his favorite club, São Paulo. This is because in 2022, he had a character from Palmeiras in the film “45 do Segundo Tempo”.

In the film, Tony plays Pedro Baresi, a single man who owns an Italian cantina in Bixiga, in São Paulo, and a passionate fan of Palmeiras. In a serious financial situation and at great risk of losing the restaurant he inherited from his grandfather, he decides that the best option is to take his own life. However, before that, he needed to fulfill his last dream: to see his team become champions again.
