Trabzonspor Trendyol conceded on matchday 23 Super League a 2-3 defeat against Kasimpasa at their home Papara Park. It was the third defeat in a row for the Bordeaux-Red-Blues, who have now been without a win in the league for four games. However, Trabzon remains third in the table with 37 points, while Kasimpasa climbs to seventh place with 32 points. The encounter initially started well for the hosts. After a cross from Enis Bardhi, Enis Destan (19th) made it 1-0 for Trabzonspor with a header from the center of the penalty area. Edin Visca (43′) was unable to capitalize on an assist from Taxiarchis Fountas before the break and missed a promising shot opportunity. We went into halftime 1-0.
Immediately after the break, Kasimpasa equalized 1-1 with Aytac Kara’s goal (47′). Kara hit the bottom left corner of the goal with a right-footed shot from the right side of the penalty area. It was the 30-year-old midfielder’s eleventh goal of the season. In the 55th minute, Eren Elmali awarded a penalty in favor of the guests with a handball in the penalty area. Kasimpasa captain Haris Hajradinovic took the chance and made it 2-1 for Istanbul from the spot with his left foot in the bottom right. In the 75th minute, Kasimpasa counterattacked. Mortadha Ben Ouanes crossed in front of the goal and Nuno Da Costa increased the score to 3-1 with a header from close range. In stoppage time, youngster Poyraz Yildirim (90th + 1) reduced the score to 2:3, but it was no longer enough for coach Abdullah Avci’s team.
