This Thursday, Paraguayan debutant Sportivo Trinidense secured its qualification for the third phase of the Libertadores Cup 2024. The team beat the Ecuadorian El Nacional 1-0 (2-1 on aggregate), at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado stadium, in Quito.
The Paraguayans will face the winner of the clash between Chilean Colo Colo and Argentinean Godoy Cruz in the next phase. El Nacional says goodbye to the competition early.
The winner of the third phase qualifies for the group stage of the biggest club tournament in South America.
Argentine Tomás Rayer classified Trinidense with a goal in the final stretch, in the 49th minute of the second half of the match.
