Donald Trump has warned the Supreme Court that if he is barred from vote 2024 “chaos and bedlam will be unleashed throughout the nation.” This can be read in the arguments presented by his lawyers to the highest US court which must express its opinion on theimmunity of the former president. “Excluding me from the 2024 vote would disenfranchise tens of millions of Americans” and “unleash chaos and bedlam across the nation.”
Meanwhile, on the topic of the trials of «The Donald», the Justice Secretary of the Biden administration, Merrick Garland, makes his voice heard in an interview with CNN: «Whether the trials of Donald Trump will begin close to the presidential elections or not does not depend on us, it depends on the judicial system.” The former president claims to be the victim of a “witch hunt” by the Justice Department accused of being a “political tool” in the hands of the White House. Garland has always claimed the independence of justice in all investigations, both against Trump and Hunter Biden.
From the ranks of the Republican party, then, comes a torpedo from Nikki Haley who takes it out on both Trump and Joe Biden who do not want to participate in debates with their opponents. “Neither of them wants to do it, both believe they shouldn’t show the voters the differences between themselves and the others,” he added, underlining that the United States “need a new generation leader” and that “most Americans he doesn’t want to see a rematch between Trump and Biden.”
