U-19 Indonesian National Team officially participating in the Tournoi Maurice Revello championship or Toulon Cup 2024. The Red-White representatives replaced Egypt who withdrew from the tournament.
“Replacing the Egyptian squad in the 50th edition of the Tournoi Maurice Revello championship, we are proud to announce that Indonesia will compete for the third time!” wrote the Tournoi Maurice Revello Twitter account, Friday (10/5).
The 2024 Toulon Cup is scheduled to take place from June 3 to June 16 2024 in the Bouches-du-Rhone region in southern France. There are a total of 25 matches that will take place at the location.

There are 10 participants taking part from all over the world. In the preliminary round there are two groups, each containing five teams. Indonesia is returning to the annual tournament after last participating in the 2022 edition.
The Garuda team will meet big teams, one of which is the defending champion in the 2023 edition, namely Panama. This is a challenge in itself for the U-19 Indonesian National Team.
On the official tournament website, Indonesia is in Group B with elite football countries such as Italy, Japan, Panama and Ukraine. Meanwhile, Group A participants consist of Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Ivory Coast, France and Mexico.
Indonesia will start its struggle against Ukraine on June 4. After that, Indonesia will play Panama on June 6. Two days later on June 8, Indonesia will meet Japan. Then on June 12, it will be Italy’s turn to face Indonesia.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. The team that wins in the top four will advance to the final and those who lose will duel for third place.
This tournament is one of the events that produces various world-class football stars. Cristiano Ronaldo once defended Portugal on this stage in 2003. Then several other elite players have also participated with their respective countries, such as Zinedine Zidane, Frank Lampard, and David Beckham.
