Hubner, who was brought in by Osaka on March 12 on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, underwent his first training last Friday. In a video uploaded to the Cerezo Osaka YouTube account, Hubner was seen doing light training with his teammates with rondo exercises, light jogging, push ups, sprints, and practice passing accuracy.
He admitted that he was very happy to be able to start training with his new club after having a wonderful week with the Indonesian national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in the Asian zone by beating Vietnam twice. “It’s been a good week with the national team. So, I’m happy to be back training,” Hubner said via his club’s official YouTube account on Saturday.
The 20-year-old defender felt very welcome at Cerezo Osaka and considered his colleagues to be very friendly in welcoming him. “It’s very good. Everyone is friendly, everyone tries to help me. So it’s a very good group and I really enjoy it here,” he explained.
On loan from Cerezo Osaka until the end of the year, Hubner hopes that his club will play often. ”Hopefully I get as many minutes as I can. “It is important for me to get more playing time in professional football,” said the owner of seven caps with the Indonesian national team.
