US Military Retaliates Against Militia Groups Supported by Iran, Analysts Speculate on Potential War
In recent developments, the US military has carried out large-scale air strikes against the Houthi organization in Yemen and continuously intercepted anti-ship missiles and drones of the Houthi organization. There has also been action taken against Iran and its proxies. This retaliation comes after a drone attack on a US military base in northeastern Jordan, which resulted in the death of three US soldiers and injuries to 41 others.
On February 2, the United States carried out air strikes on 85 targets in 7 locations in Iraq and Syria, targeting the command centers, missile and drone warehouses, and logistics facilities of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Brigade and its affiliated militias.
It is important to note that the targets targeted by the United States are not within Iran’s homeland, but are all in Syria and Iraq. White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby confirmed that the United States notified the Iraqi government before conducting air strikes on targets in Iraq.
However, analysts believe that while the United States is retaliating against Iran and its proxies, it is also important to note that the Western Pacific is the main focus of the US military. Three US aircraft carriers recently appeared in the Indo-Pacific waters to deter potential threats from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and North Korea.

In addition to these military developments, concerns have been raised about counterfeit goods from mainland China containing carcinogens that exceed the legal limit by up to 930 times. The South Korean government recently seized nearly 143,000 counterfeit goods from China, with 90% of them containing heavy metals such as lead and cadmium that exceed the standard.
