Traces of her were lost 41 years ago, when she was only one year old. Texas authorities found ‘Bebe’ Holly ‘, the girl who disappeared in 1981 and is now 42 years old.
“She has been located, she is alive and well”, say the authorities. Holly’s case is still unsolved: in 1981 the bodies of a woman and a man were found near Houston.
Their identity remained mysterious until 2021 when, thanks to new genetic technologies, they were recognized as Tina and Harold Clouse.
The deceased couple had a small daughter, Holly. The child was abandoned on a church steps by “two women belonging to a nomadic religious group” and was then raised by an Arizona family.
Police attention is now focused on the two women, who are not ruled out that they may be implicated in the couple’s death.
Holly, who now lives in Oklahoma and is a mother of five children, first learned of her identity when she received a visit from the police at her workplace. Texas First Deputy Attorney General Brent Webster said Holly’s adoptive parents are not suspected of playing a role in the murders.
