Nequi is one of the most important financial platforms in Colombia, with more than 18 million users, of which about 13 million make at least one monetary transaction per month.

The platform is so common that all types of businesses in the country receive it, thus facilitating the transactional operations of many on a day-to-day basis.

This Monday the application became a trend again on social networks after complaints from many users, who claim that Nequi is down.

Those who try to enter the app, after entering their number and password, the application continues processing the information and, subsequently, launches a “Cancelled” notice, which is followed by a notification that indicates “Oops! Something is wrong. “We’re going to solve it.”

As usual, social networks have been filled with messages of displeasure from users, who report that the application has practically left them stranded in the middle of a payment attempt. There are even those who claim that they have not been able to pay for lunch.

It is for this reason that it is important to follow the recommendations made by experts so as not to go through a bad time when one of these applications fails.

The classic advice of not putting all your eggs in the same basket is the golden rule in this type of applications, since it is common for them to fail (not just Nequi).

Have a small savings in other types of applications, such as Daviplata, or load a small cash reserve that will allow you to get out of trouble in this type of situation.

Diversifying digital wallets could also help you better organize your finances, since you could give each of them different uses. However, it must be taken into account that many prefer not to use more than one for fear of being charged the famous four per thousand tax.

However, there is the possibility of unchecking these applications, based on your preferences, so that you can use them without these types of limitations.

So far Nequi has not commented on the reason for the drop in its services, so users can only wait.

However, as the platform has explained on several occasions, in no case are user resources compromised, since they will always be able to access them through Bancolombia’s user service channels.
