It is false that Luís Cláudio Lula da Silva, son of President Lula (PT), appears in a video attacking a woman inside a room. The images circulating on the networks in misleading posts actually show an attacker identified by the Civil Police of the Federal District as Gabriel da Silva Teixeira, who fled after beating his partner in Samambaia (DF).

The video with the false allegation had accumulated hundreds of shares on Facebook by this Wednesday afternoon (10). Pieces of misinformation also circulate on WhatsApp, a platform on which it is not possible to estimate the reach of the content (talk to Fatima).

Lulinha peace and love making a Cafuné for your wife. Where’s the Sealing??? Quiet, right???

Publications lie when they claim that a video that has gone viral on social media shows Luís Cláudio Lula da Silva attacking his wife. The recording actually records a case that occurred on February 27th of this year in Samambaia (DF), in which a man identified as Gabriel da Silva Teixeira he beat his companion and fled. Published by the press (see here, here e here), the footage was taken by a security camera installed in the victim’s apartment.

The case is investigated by the Special Police Station for Women’s Assistance of the Civil Police of the Federal District. So far, there is no information about Teixeira’s arrest.

Images released by the police themselves show that Gabriel and Luís Cláudio have different physical characteristics (see comparison below). While the first has his entire right arm tattooed, for example, the second only has a design closer to the shoulder. Furthermore, Lula’s son wears more beard than the fugitive man.

Misinformation pieces still make the mistake of suggesting that Luís Cláudio would be known as Lulinha. This nickname was given to the president’s third son, Fábio Luís Lula da Silva.

It is a fact, however, that Luís Cláudio was reported recently by his ex-girlfriend, Natália Schincariol, for physical and psychological aggression. She says that her then partner elbowed her in the stomach and insulted her with insults. The Justice of São Paulo opened a case against the president’s son and ordered him to maintain a minimum distance of 200 meters from Schincariol.

Lula’s youngest son denies the accusations. In an interview with UOLhe stated that he never attacked or offended his ex-girlfriend and that he will wait for the courts to prove his innocence.
