After the fall of Avdiivka, a city in the south-east of Ukraine, videos of Moscow troops hoisting the Russian flag in the conquered city are circulating on social networks. The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian forces, Oleksandr Syrski, ordered the troops to leave the city, disputed for a decade between Kiev and Moscow. In recent weeks, Russian forces have entered the key city of Donetsk Oblast after a months-long stalemate. Videos shot in recent months have shown the city almost entirely destroyed.
