The Designation Commission, in agreement with the Council of Ethics and Association Values and with the Special Board of Confederal Arbitrators, after having carried out all the checks on the documentation produced, did not detect any formally impeding elements and admitted all and four candidates for the presidency of Confindustria.
In alphabetical order, Edoardo Garrone, Antonio Gozzi, Alberto Marenghi and Emanuele Orsini are candidates. All have exceeded the percentage threshold of support from 10% of the members of the General Council, required by the confederal statute. The calendar of hearings on the association system has been updated and the consultations will start at the end of next week and will conclude in the first ten days of March.
The calendar
The hearings of the commission of wise men who will evaluate the candidatures for the election of the president of Confindustria, examining how the consensus is oriented, will start with a meeting on 23 February in Turin at the Union of Industrialists. The calendar then includes stops on 24 February in Bologna (at Confindustria Emilia-Romagna), on 28 and 29 February in Rome (at the Confindustria headquarters), on 1 March in Milan (at Assolombarda) and on 8 March again in Milan (at Federchimica), on 9 March in Padua (at Confindustria Veneto Est) and on 11 March in Naples at Unione Industriali.
