[Epoch Times November 03, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Chen Ting comprehensive report) On Wednesday (November 3), Republican Glenn Youngkin won the Virginia governor election. At the same time, another Republican is about to win the election in New Jersey. Some analysts pointed out that for the Democrats, this is a warning sign of possible defeat in the midterm elections next year.

According to media polls, in the last few weeks before the election, Yang Jin performed well, defeating former Governor Terry McAuliffe.

According to the result of the vote counting (link), 99% of the votes have been counted. Republican candidate Yang Jin has 1,676,486 votes, with a 50.74% vote; Democratic candidate McCaurieff has 1,605,020 votes, with a 48.57% vote, independent Candidate Blanding (Princess Blanding) won 22,780 votes, with a rate of 0.69%.

This is the first time a Virginia Republican has won the governor’s election since 2009.

As a former private equity firm executive who has never served as an elected official, Yang Jin called himself a political outsider. He and McAuliffe have had heated debates on some of the most heated issues in the United States, including abortion, key racial theories, COVID-19 epidemic prevention restrictions, and former President Trump (Trump).

Yang Jin said in his victory speech at 1:00 am on Wednesday, let us thank God, our victory comes from God. He vowed, “Together we will change the trajectory of this state.”

“We will embrace our parents instead of ignoring them.” He emphasized in his victory speech.

“The United States is paying attention to Virginia,” Yang Jin said, “and the United States also needs us to vote for them.”

This victory is a warning sign for Biden and the Democrats. In 2020, Biden will easily win the state with a 10% advantage.

In recent months, the White House has been busy responding to the negative impact of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and the inflation that has been aggravated by the slow economic recovery after the pandemic. In addition, the domestic agenda of the Biden administration has yet to be passed in Congress.

The midterm elections in 2022 will determine the control of the US Congress and the future of Biden’s policy agenda.

At the same time, in the New Jersey governor race, Republican Jack Ciattarelli is narrowly leading Democrat Phil Murphy. In 2020, Biden won by more than 15 percentage points. However, some of the Democratic Party’s traditionally leading constituencies are still counting votes.

At present, in Virginia, Republican candidates for lieutenant governor and state attorney general are also in the lead, while Republicans seem to have flipped five seats in the state House of Representatives, forming a close match. The state Senate, controlled by Democrats, has not undergone re-election this year.
