LESISTOE (RUSSIAN EXCLAVE OF KALININGRAD) – The road leading to the incendiary border runs in the shadow of two rows of “Wehrmacht soldiers”, as detractors call the ancient poplars planted by the Prussians, and at times preserves the original Germanic pavement. It crosses unmowed fields, turf and marshes and finally enters the oaks, pines and firs of the “Krasny Les”, the Red Forestleading up to Lesistoe.
