Toys Vesne Džuver will cross spears with Bulgaria’s Montana on Wednesday (March 6), starting at 7:00 p.m., in the Obilićevo hall, in a direct duel for a place in the final four.
Before this match, the Banja Luka team is in fourth position in the WABA Superliga with five wins and six losses, while the Bulgarian team is in fifth position with a record of 4-7. The “eagles” have no easy task, considering that they have a team that has been to six finals in the last seven seasons.
If they were to win a place in the final tournament, it would be the second final four in the club’s history for Banja Luka basketball players. They were there for the first time in 2022, when they defeated Montana in the match for third place.
Before Orlov, the last club from BiH to play in a final four was Zenica Čelik in 2012, when this club hosted the final.
Two years earlier, Mladi Krajišnik participated in the final tournament in Gospić, the last club from Republika Srpska to reach the final four before Orlov.
