War in Ukraine, mobilization in Transnistria marks the weakness of the Kremlin

Transnistria is a legendary land, a sort of post-Soviet Tortuga where smugglers’ dens and secret military bases coexist. It tells of endless bunkers that still house the ammunition reserves for the Red Army’s assault on the Berlin Wall, of atomic warheads stolen from the disarmament agreements and of underground laboratories that continue to produce prohibited bombs.
