Schalke 04 couldn’t get past a draw against KSC. Captain Simon Terodde now puts a “huge item” on the agenda.

Gelsenkirchen – FC Schalke 04 dropped points against Karlsruher SC (0-0) as they did against SC Paderborn (3-3) despite a strong performance in the Veltins Arena. Given the catastrophic away performances, this is playing with fire.

Schalke captain Terodde: We have to talk about that this week

As anemic as the “Knappen” recently appeared abroad, Schalke actually have to top up their credit card in every home game for the next away defeat. But that doesn’t work with a draw.

In the table, after 27 match days, the S04 is only two points ahead of the relegation place and three points ahead of the first direct relegation spot. And after the home draw against KSC, Schalke 04 is now challenged away again.

Schalke has a “huge item” on the agenda: Terodde wants to talk about it

The opponent on matchday 28 is fifth-placed Hannover 96, who have only lost one home game this season. The notoriously weak away Schalke team seem to be a target for the 96ers.

However, captain Simon Terodde wants to prevent that. “We have to perform differently away from home now. “That’s a huge point that we have to talk about this week,” said the goalscorer after the game against Karlsruher SC Sky-Microphone clearly.

Schalke is declaring war on away weakness – time is running out

Terodde rightly noted that they presented themselves differently against KSC than in the dismal 2:5 in Berlin before the international break. This now has to be transported to Hanover, said the 36-year-old.

Schalke won the first leg in October 3-2 thanks to goals from Bryan Lasme, Lino Tempelmann and Kenan Karaman. It was the first victory under Karel Geraerts at the time.

This needs to be repeated on Sunday (April 7th, 1:30 p.m.) in the Lower Saxony state capital. Schalke urgently needs to get their away weakness under control. Otherwise the 3rd league may be closer than ever.
